The Need for Kesem Is Urgent...

More than five million children in the United States have a parent who is living with or has died from cancer, and this number is growing. These statistics paint a stark picture, and they also motivate us to act.

In a peer-reviewed paper published in January 2026 Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center found that Kesem works: our programs improve well-being and resilience in children impacted by a parent’s cancer.
